Honor the tradition, support the guard.
Alumni from across the years in Richmond, Kentucky, keeping up with the current guard’s season, dates, and finishes.
Dear Madison Central Guard Alumni and Friends,
My name is Gary Lee Duvall Jr., and I am deeply humbled and honored to serve as the Guard Director at Madison Central High School. Since joining the program in 2017, I have had the privilege of walking alongside a community that truly embodies a Tradition of Excellence. This program is rich in spirit, history, and heart—and every single season, our primary goal is to make you proud and honor the legacy you helped build.
The past year has been nothing short of historic for our students. Last winter, our Varsity ensemble traveled to the WGI World Championships and made Finals, placing 13th in the World in Scholastic A! The pride and self-confidence this landmark moment instilled in our performers will stay with them for a lifetime.
Building on that momentum, this fall we are fielding the largest guard in Madison Central history: 63 dedicated performers strong.
While our dreams and numbers are growing, so are the financial realities of competing at this level. We are a working-class program with a big heart. We dream big, work hard, and push our boundaries, but we want to ensure that financial hardship never stands in the way of a talented student participating.
How You Can Support the Next Generation:
We are reaching out to our alumni family to ask for your support in keeping this momentum going. Your financial contributions directly lighten the load for our working families and fund essential program needs, including:
–Equipment & Production: Flags, weapons, custom floor tarps, and props.
–Travel & Lodging: Safe transportation and accommodations for regional and national competitions.
–Student Care: Meals and nutrition for long rehearsal blocks and travel days.
-Scholarships: Financial aid to ensure every student can perform regardless of financial background.
Any amount—whether $15, $50, or $500—makes a direct and lasting impact on these students.
Stay Connected:
Beyond financial support, we want to stay connected with the generations of performers who built this foundation. Please join our new MCCG Alumni Page, share your favorite videos and photos from your time in the guard, add fellow alumni, and cheer us on throughout the season.
Thank you for your unwavering support, your passion, and for continuing to champion the Madison Central Guard.
With deep gratitude,
Gary Lee Duvall Jr.
